With the C6, the tallest wooden building in the world, is being built ("183 m high hybrid timber high-rise planned"). The building was designed by the design studio Fraser & Partners. It will be built from 7400 m³ of wood, using cross-laminated timber, glulam and laminated veneer lumber. Now the Joint Development Assessment Panel of the City of South Perth has granted the building permit. Originally, according to aumanufacturing.com.au, the building permit was rejected on the grounds that it did not show "excellent design".
