Italian machine manufacturer SCM and Swedish company Randek have signed a strategic agreement on the global supply of integrated complete solutions for the timber construction sector. According to a press release published on Randek’s company website, the aim of the new partnership is to further expand and strengthen the range of technological solutions which both companies already provide across the globe and which complement each other.

SCM is mainly known for its CNC joining machines, while Randek specializes in the production of high-performance machines and plants for the prefabricated house sector. The partnership will allow both companies to offer each other’s products and sell integrated solutions which would otherwise have been feasible only in the long term.

The cooperation brings to mind the strategic partnership between the Homag group of Schopfloch/DE and Hundegger of Hawangen/DE. The agreement on the global marketing of integrated complete solutions for the production of wooden houses was signed back in 2019.
