Construction starts on last year's level

In October, 83,000 houses were built in Japan. This exactly equals last year's volume.

This year's values accumulated and compared to the same period last year, a decline of 3% (-23,000 building units) can be observed. Especially in the 1Q, large declines were registered that are clouding the statistics.
