Based on the order entries volume, the National Association of the German Construction Industry (ZDB) expects the intensive construction activities to continue in the second half of the year. In June, the speed of the first five months increased by another 7%.
With regard to June, companies improved their performance significantly compared to the same month last year, namely by 6.6%. With a plus of 9%, the performance increase was especially strong in the residential construction sector. According to data by the Federal Statistics Office, companies had an average of 20,000 employees more in June than in the same month last year.
