Ziegler among the Top 10 sawmills in Europe after takeovers

Article by Holzkurier editorial team (translated by Eva Guzely) | 21.11.2024 - 10:29

In 2022, only softwood lumber was processed at the Plößberg sawmill site. Within just two years, three more sawmills were added. Two Swedish sawmills were integrated and in May 2023, the former HS Timber sawmill in Sebes/RO was acquired.

Plößberg is a phenomenon. With six cutting lines (gangsaws, band saws and chippers), the company can process logs of all dimensions at its headquarters.

The background: Ziegler Holding filed for insolvency at the Weiden/DE district court on November 20. Click here for the article.
