At its existing sawmill in Leoben, the MM Holz Group will invest €150 million in a state-of-the-art cross-laminated timber production, a high-performance sorting and planing plant and in a fully automated high-bay warehouse. Full operation is to start in around two years. The Holzkurier reported on the project already at the beginning of 2020.
Thanks to the new CLT plant, company will raise its cross-laminated timber production capacity from currently 80,000 m³ a year (production site in Gaishorn) to an annual 200,000 m³.
“The investment is a clear commitment to the business hub Styria,” explains Richard Stralz, CEO of the MM Holz Holding.
