The Forum Brilon was planned by Tyrolean architect Bruno Moser and was implemented in a modular timber design. This has been Moser’s third project for Egger, the Austrian manufacturer of wood based material now: Moser has also planned the Egger administration building in Radauti/RO and in 2011 he has designed the TechCenter of the Egger Group in Unterradlberg/AT.
The new three-storey building forms a structural unit with the existing buildings. The two parts are connected with a fully glazed room which forms the central entrance and – as a novelty – features a solid wood ceiling made of OSB. The whole building consists of Eurostrand OSB 4 top-plates with the maximum formats of 11.5 x 2.8 m. The construction took eight months to be completed.
