As of June 11, provisional anti-dumping duties of 62.4% will be imposed on imports of Chinese hardwood plywood. The Commission’s decision follows a complaint filed by the Greenwood Consortium, an association of European plywood producers. The Commission subsequently launched an investigation in December 2024 and found dumping prices for Chinese hardwood plywood. In addition to the anti-dumping measures, imports of softwood plywood are now also being monitored. This is aimed at preventing the circumvention of tariffs by attaching top layers made of softwood to hardwood plywood.
