Latvia saw its deliveries grow by 38% to 1.28 million pallets, taking third place from the Netherlands in the ranking.

Imports from Ukraine doubled year on year and totaled 570,000 pieces in the first three months. Austria sold just under 500,000 flat pallets to Germany, recording a moderate increase of 4.3%.

In the first quarter, Germany exported around 7.77 million flat pallets. According to Destatis, this corresponds to a year-on-year increase of about 8%.

The Netherlands, Switzerland and Belgium remain the most important foreign markets. Belgium in particular recorded a marked increase of 31% to 1.04 million pallets, clearly exceeding the one-million-mark.

A downward trend, on the other hand, can be observed in exports to Italy (-10%) and Austria (-5%).

Trade with Denmark was difficult in the first quarter: Both German imports (-21%) and exports (-10%) decreased substantially compared to last year.
