Last year, the European total of produced wood materials panels amounted to 59.3 million m³. Increases were registered for chipboard panels (+2.6% to 32 million m3), hardboards (+1.5% to 0.5 million m³), softboards (+5.9% to 5.2 million m³) and plywood (+1.7% to 3.2 million m³). Other producers, on the other hand, suffered losses: MDF -0.5% (to 12.3 million m³) and OSB -1.6% (to 6.2 million m³).
