Between the 22nd and 26th of May 2017, Hannover will host the Ligna, one of the world's leading trade fairs for machinery, plant and tools for the woodworking and timber processing industry. Even if the fair is still months away, the hosts are already very satisfied with the status quo: 90% of the available exhibition space for the upcoming Ligna is already booked.

"The Ligna is headed for success. Compared to the same time in 2014, the space allocation is already significantly higher. Together with the VDMA [note: the German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association] and the exhibitors we developed a layout for the exhibition space that takes the changes in the technological applications of the industry and trade into account. Our concept has already proven successful“, Christian Pfeiffer, director in charge of LIGNA at Deutsche Messe, is delighted.

The new positioning concept brings the areas closer together according to their topic. This way, the layout of the fair has a clearer structure and subsequently, attendees can organize their fair visit more efficiently and small enterprises will be benefitting from complementing the program of the major exhibitors.
