ZMP’s success is the result of stable partnerships and customer relationships which are based on trust. Short communication channels and personal conversations coupled with a solid foundation of trust characterize everyday company life. ZMP’s goal is to make the handling of projects easier for everyone involved – especially when special circumstances require flexibility. Each year, the ZMP team supports around 250 customers in the planning, development and execution of almost 1,000 timber construction projects in Austria. The company’s experienced timber construction engineers carry out projects of all sizes, drawing on years of experience and extensive knowledge in the field. The ZMP team supports carpenters, architects and project planners early on in the planning phase in order to make sure that timber construction projects are carried out efficiently. Everyone, including the end customer, benefits from this approach – both in ecological and in economic terms.

Long-term partnerships

Many partners and business customers have accompanied the ZMP team for several years. Thanks to the close cooperation with carpentry companies, the industry, architects and civil engineers, both sides have developed a deep understanding of the various issues and challenges in mass timber constructions. “The earlier we are involved in a project, the more efficient and resource-saving the planning process can be from the start. This saves time and money and is less of a strain on the nerves of the project partners,” ZMP’s managing director Peter Steinbauer explains.

Interesting range of products

In addition to their various services, ZMP’s timber construction experts can draw on an innovative product portfolio which offers a suitable solution for almost every requirement. One example is Stora Enso’s new Sylva construction kit, which consists of prefabricated wood-based elements for low-carbon buildings. The custom-made elements, such as Sylva walls, ceilings and roofs as well as stairs, beams and supports, make it possible to use sustainable wood products for every application. In addition, Stora Enso can offer a wide range of finished surfaces for CLT thanks to its new, fully automated coating line. ZMP’s range of products is not limited to CLT mass timber, though. It also includes the innovative Kielsteg roof and ceiling elements. Kielsteg is characterized by its low weight and good performance when it comes to large spans in buildings and is primarily used in commercial and industrial construction.

With the expansion of its distribution area and the further developments of the product CLT, ZMP is optimistic about the future. The company is looking forward to acquiring carpentry companies in Tyrol and Salzburg as new customers and being able to carry out several projects with them.
