Theurl is not only a competent partner when it comes to lumber and planed timber. The company also manufactures glue-laminated and cross-laminated timber products and offers joinery services of the highest quality. One of the markets which has seen the strongest growth in recent years is certainly the CLT market. Theurl is a big player on this market with its annual production output of 70,000 m³ of CLTPlus, as the company’s CLT product is called.

The efficient and resource-saving projects of Theurl’s partners from the timber construction sector also require the company to continuously further develop the finishing process. The production hall of the CLT plant in Steinfeld is currently being expanded to create the necessary space for this.
Smart building with special solutions
One of the advantages Theurl has in production is the in-house joining of CLT and glulam. In this process, Theurl ribbed ceilings, for example, merge into one unit: The glulam and CLT components are connected to each other using screw-press bonding. This product impresses with its high load-bearing capacity and short assembly time. Especially when planning spans of more than 6 m, ribbed ceilings are a sensible and economical solution thanks to their particularly low material consumption.

At the highest level: Stair solutions
Theurl’s various stair solutions for the construction of single flights of stairs are equally as time-saving and resource-efficient. For example, CLT can be used to produce a solid wood staircase individually and tailored to a specific project.
The staircase’s bottom side can also be built in visible quality. Alternatively, staircases can be produced from a combination of a CLT core structure and glulam treads. Weather protection of components also plays an important role. Anyone who chooses visible quality CLT ceiling elements knows that transport and assembly require special attention. Components are wrapped in self-adhesive foil to ensure effective protection from moisture until they are assembled.
