KVH saw an increase of €+25/m3 from January to February. The average price for KVH (all assortments, by the load, postpaid) in Germany, Austria now ranges between €330 and €390/m3. According to a Holzkurier survey, manufacturers were largely able to implement the announced price increases –however, with difficulty. Further increases are planned for March due to the rising prices for raw material. Last year, the brisk demand for glulam in January and February served as the initial spark for price increases for almost all products. This market impetus was missing this year. However, the price for visual quality bars in Germany has now surpassed the €500/m³ mark, and the discount for non-visual quality became somewhat smaller. For March, some suppliers have announced further price increases of up to €50/m3.
