For the year 2022, the Holzkurier identified an average log price of €110/m³ in southern Germany and Austria. It was the highest price since our records began in 2006.
At 50%, the share of material costs is similar to that recorded in 2019. In the years before 2019, material costs always had a share of around 60%.
As for the year 2023, the Holzkurier’s editorial team expects it to be at approximately 50% again.
