In the last week of November, 2-by-4 (Western SPF, KD, #2 & better) only cost US-$474/1,000 bft according to Madison’s Lumber Reporter, recording a further decrease of US-$15 in the course of just one week.

In euros (actual size, free Great Lakes region), 2-by-4 sells for only €295/m³, which is €10/m³ less than in the previous week.

The Lumber Futures, which are traded at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, indicate further decreases. In January, prices are expected to fall below US-$400/1,000 bft, thus reaching only €246/m³.
