Record turnover for German sawmills

In January, the German sawmill industry generated the highest turnover since records began in 2005.

With a turnover of € 388.4 million in January, the German sawmill industry recorded its best start into the year ever. Compared to 2019 (€ 371.9 million), turnover was 4.4% higher. This is according to data published by Destatis. In January 2018, turnover was at € 354.5 million and in 2017, € 312 million were recorded in January.
