Declining demand from chipboard mills and the Scandinavian pulp industry
The prices for coniferous industrial wood were only slightly adjusted in most regions of Germany after the turn of the quarter. Compared to the preliminary contracts valid in the 1st half of the year or the 2nd quarter, corrections of 1 to 2 €/rm can be observed. In some cases, however, log traders also report stronger take-backs.
