In the first eight months, Germany exported 496,000 m³ of beech logs, i.e. 4% less than in the same period last year. Exports to China, which consist mainly of sawlogs, remain stable at a low level. Deliveries, mostly of industrial beech logs, to Austria reached a 20-year high.
