Price increases on industrial wood and sawlogs

In June, buyers paid on average €68.6/m³ for pine logs and €72.8/m³ for spruce logs (in standing sales). In real terms, the average prices thus rose by 3% compared to May.

In June, the price paid for pine industrial wood was €20.2/m³, while spruce industrial wood cost €22.7/m³ in standing sales. Month on month, the average prices saw an increase of 6%.

In June, a total of 5.8 million m³ of log wood was sold, which is less than in the record month of June 2021 (8.2 million m³). However, over the past five years, this level was only exceeded in four months. Data are collected by the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke).
