Beech log exports at -17%

In January 2020, German beech log exports fell by 17% month on month to a total of 64,500 m³.

According to Destatis, Germany exported 30,400 m³ of beech logs to China in January, which is 8.8% less than in January 2019. Exports to Austria fell by 17% to 16,800 m³.

Shipments to Belgium increased by 116% to 2,700 m³ in January, whereas those to Denmark decreased by 69% to 2,000 m³ and those to Slovakia by 72% to 1,400 m³.
