On March 13, the average pellet price was at €275.9/t in Germany. Month on month, the price has fallen by 6.5%. Year on year, it was down by 22.3% (March 13, 2023: €354.5/t). Three years ago, during the first year of the coronavirus pandemic, the pellet price was at €206.7/t (+33.5%) in Germany.
Pellet prices are ranging from €255.1/t in Bavaria to €291.8/t in Bremen. In Baden-Württemberg, buyers pay on average €259.5/t, while pellets cost €260.1/t in Thuringia, €265.7/t in Hesse, €269.5/t in Rhineland-Palatinate and €275.7/t in Saxony.
Wood pellets are most expensive in Bremen, followed by Saarland (€284.5/t), Schleswig-Holstein (€283.6/t) and Berlin (€283.6/t).
