In Germany, the neutral pellet price (without VAT, transport and handling costs) is at €269.9/t in February, and has thus decreased by €49.5/t compared January. Compared to February 2022, however, wood pellets still cost €38.4/t more in Germany.
In Austria, buyers pay €327.2/t for wood pellets in February, i.e. €58.9/t less than in the month before. One year ago, pellets cost €231.8/t.
In Switzerland, the neutral pellet price is at €406.7/t this month, down by €16.2 compared to January but up by €121/t compared to January 2022. The ten-year average price, which is less affected by fluctuations of the currency exchange rate, fell by €9.9/t month on month to €366.4/t.
