At €300.3/t, the price for 6 t of loose, A1-quality wood pellets rose by 0.4% compared to May. According to the industry association proPellets Austria, this seasonal increase is due to storage campaigns coming to an end. Compared to June 2024 (€285.3/t), the pellet price is up by 5.2%.

The pellet price index PPI06 is at 168.9, and an average fee of €48 per delivery is charged for blowing in pellets. According to the association, heating oil is 64.1% and natural gas is 123.3% more expensive than wood pellets.

In June, a commercial quantity of 17 tonnes costs €258.1/t in Austria (-0.3% month on month and +5.4% year on year). Bagged pellets cost on average €5.04 per 15-kg bag, as proPellets Austria reports. Compared to June 2024, the price has remained the same, whereas a slight increase of 1.4% is recorded compared to May 2025.
