Pellet price nearly twice as high as last year

Since May, when pellets cost €393/t, the price has risen by 5%. For the month of June 2021, the German Pellet Institute (DEPI) reported a price of €221/t, which is 95% lower than this year. Prices for commercial quantities (purchase of 26 t) are at €413/t in June and thus also above the €400-mark. In May, this quantity of pellets cost €375/t (+10%) and in June last year, buyers paid €215/t (+92%).

In the north and east of Germany, pellets are most expensive (€428/t), while buyers pay less in central Germany (€417/t) and in the south of the country (€405/t).
