Pellets increasingly expensive

In Austria, the pellet price rose by 10% month on month, from €242.2/t in April to €266.7/t in May. Year on year, an increase of 62% has been recorded (May 2021: €164/t).

In Germany, pellets cost €272.1/t in May. This is 5% more than in the previous month of April (€260.9/t) and even 83% more than in the same month of 2021 (€148.6/t).

In Switzerland, the neutral pellet price rose by 11% compared to April (€269.5/t) and by 53% compared to May 2021 (€299.1/t). The neutral ten-year average pellet price, which is less affected by currency fluctuations, is at €272/t in May.
