Swiss Kronospan, Menznau/CH, is planning to invest CHF 80 million (€ 74.2 million) in a new manufacturing facility and a new administration building at its headquarter premises. In addition, research and development of the Swiss Krono Group will be concentrated in Menznau, the company announced. This is the largest project of this kind in the company's history and includes a new particleboard line and a logistics solution with integrated high-bay warehouse for raw boards.
While the administration building is already under construction, the production facilities are to be installed and commissioned in 2016 and to be finally started up in 2017.
