Finnish engineering company Raute, Nastola, begins to temporarily reduce its workforce in December. According to a press release, the decision about investments for two major projects was postponed several months back. In order to reduce excess workforce, an unspecified number of employees is laid off for up to 90 days.

The measure shall remain in force until the end of 2014. Currently the Finnish veneer, plywood and LVL specialist employs 531 staff, including 380 in Finland.
