More beech lumber to Vietnam

In January 2025, Germany exported 35,000 m³ of beech lumber (incl. planed timber), recording a 1% increase compared to the same period last year. China remains the most important export market with a trade volume of 10,800 m³ and a year-on-year increase of 47% (January 2024: 7,400 m³). Decreases were recorded in deliveries to the US (3,900 m³; -28%) and Poland (2,800 m³; -23%).

Beech lumber exports to Vietnam skyrocketed by 274%, from only 734 m³ in January 2024 to 2,700 m³ at the start of this year. A three-digit increase was also recorded in shipments to India (1,400 m³; +170%).
