Solid structural timber raw material is currently priced at around 280 €/m³, with prices exceeding 300 €/m³ already set for the second quarter. Alternative markets for solid structural timber raw material include the USA and the UK.
Roof batten prices are about 25% higher than a year ago. With an average price of 335 €/m³, sellers have achieved a 50 €/m³ increase within six months. The next 100 €/m³ threshold is not ruled out by some market participants.

The North American softwood lumber market remains in turmoil due to the "Trump tariff circus." At the time of publication, there were no tariffs in place – neither on Canadian nor European sawn timber. However, this situation could change at any time, leading to significant uncertainty among U.S. importers and Canadian producers.
According to a Holzkurier survey, the price for European sawn timber increased by 50 €/m³ from the beginning of the year to the end of February. Most recently, 404 €/m³ (650 USD/1,000 board feet) was recorded for E-SPF (European spruce-pine-fir) on the U.S. East Coast.
