In the first quarter of 2026, the German sawmill industry generated sales of €1.56 billion, recording an increase of 2.6% compared to the same period last year and of 3.2% compared to the first quarter of 2024. Thus, sales stabilized at the level of the past two years. However, this does not qualify as an actual upswing.
