Last week, the new SCA terminal at the Ostuferhafen in Kiel/DE was inaugurated. In the new forestry and logistics center, Swedish enterprises SCA and Iggesund Paperboard (Holmen Group) will be handling and storing an annual amount of 850,000 t of their high-quality paper products and from there, deliver it to Central and West European markets. "The paper business will constitute another mainstay for the Kiel port's business", says Dr. Dirk Claus, CEO of the seaport Kiel.
The SCA terminal comprises 16 ha. The invested sum totals 25 million, and 80 jobs have been created.
