Swiss pellet price with a slight decrease

In March, the neutral pellet prices grew by around 3% year on year in Austria and Switzerland and by 29% in Germany. Month on month, increases were recorded in Germany and Austria, while the Swiss pellet price decreased.

In Germany, a neutral pellet of €263/t (without VAT, transport and handling costs) is recorded in March. Compared to the previous month (February 2025: €251.1/t), this corresponds to an increase of 11.9 percentage points or 4.7%. In comparison with March 2024 (€201.4/t), the German pellet price is up by 58.9 percentage points.

The Austrian neutral pellet price was at €234.6/t in March last year. This year, it is at €242.1/t and thus up by 7.5 percentage points or 3.2% both month on month and year on year.

In Switzerland, the neutral pellet price fell slightly by 1.8 percentage points, from €330.5/t in February to €328.7/t in March 2025. Compared to the same month of last year (March 2024: €319.8/t), an increase of 8.9 percentage points or 2.8% is recorded.
