Further rise in pellet prices

In Austria, the pellet price (VAT excluded, without transport and handling costs) is at €186.8/ton in November, which is a month-on-month increase of €9.4/ton or 5% (October: €177.4/t). Year, on year, pellets cost €172.2/ton in Austria and thus have seen a rise of €14.6/ton or 8.5% compared to November 2020.

In November, the cheapest pellets in the DACH region can be found in Germany at a price of €183.7/ton. Compared to October (€170.4/t), the price rose by €13.3/ton or 5%, while an increase of €23.1/ton or 14% is recorded compared to November 2020 (€160.6/t).

In Switzerland, the neutral pellet price is at €222.3/ton in November, rising by €8.7/ton or 4% month on month (October: €213.6/t) and by €7/ton or 3% year on year (November 2020: €215.3/t). The neutral ten-year average price, which is less affected by currency fluctuations, was calculated at €207.3/ton in November, which corresponds to an increase of €4.1/ton or 2% compared to October (€203.2/t) and of €6.9/t or 3% compared to November 2020 (€215.3/t).
