In the first quarter, Germany produced 585,000 tons of pellets, reaching a new quarterly record. Compared to the same period of last year, production increased by 50,000 tons (+9 %).

The majority of wood pellets were ENplus A1 quality pellets. 105,000 tons (18 %) were marketed in sacks. The export rate languished at 8.5 %. According to the German Wood Fuel and Pellet Association (DEPV), 96.6 % of the pellets were produced from coniferous wood.
