Meeting of timber exporters: No market is going well, therefore too much supply for the existing demand despite reductions
At their meeting on September 26, timber exporters painted a uniformly bleak picture. “At the moment, there is no market worldwide that is truly performing well. Everywhere, oversupply is meeting weak demand, and parts of the industry are already making losses. Prices are under pressure across all destinations,” one might summarize the sentiment among the companies at the meeting, which took place in Portugal at the invitation of the Kullik Group.
