In spring 2026, West Fraser will indefinitely suspend operations at its Canadian OSB production site in High Level. The plant has a capacity of 860 million sqft (3/8-inch). 190 employees will be affected by this measure.

At the OSB plant in Cordele, Georgia/US, one of the two production lines will remain shut down for the foreseeable future. West Fraser indefinitely halted production on Line 1, with a capacity of 440 million sqft (3/8-inch), at the end of 2023. Since the acquisition of the former Norbord plant, production on Line 1 had been repeatedly interrupted due to market conditions and continued only on Line 2. The plant’s total capacity is 1.04 million sqft (3/8-inch).

West Fraser operates five OSB production sites in Canada, seven in the US, and one each in the UK and Belgium.
