In the first nine months, Italy, Austria’s number one foreign market, received the same volume of laminated timber as last year (537,000 m³; -0.01%). Germany, which ranks second, saw an increase of 7% to 309,000 m³. Deliveries to Switzerland (third place) remained nearly stable at 116,000 m³, decreasing only slightly by 1%.

Gulam and CLT exports to France were down by 12%, totaling 92,000 m³. Deliveries to Japan (-17% to 63,000 m³) and Belgium (-18% to 18,000 m³) showed a negative development as well.

An increase of 17% to 89,000 m³ was recorded in laminated timber exports to Spain, while those to Great Britain remained constant at 26,000 m³ (+2%). Austria also sold bigger volumes to Slovenia (+17% to 18,000 m³) and the USA (+61% to 17,000 m³) in the first nine months, according to Statistik Austria.
