Uruguay, a country without a long tradition of timber construction, is establishing itself as a pioneer in sustainable timber construction in South America thanks to strategic investments and international technology partnerships. In Tacuarembó, Arboreal SA built the region’s first large CLT and glulam plant, equipped with sophisticated European technology from Slovenian machine manufacturer Ledinek.
