The site has a production capacity of over 2 million furniture parts a year. The focus is on manufacturing components for shelving systems. The plant currently employs 100 people; and this number is expected to increase to 250 in the future.
SBA Home chose the location in North Carolina because of its proximity to wood-based materials suppliers, sales markets, and ports for potential raw material imports. Eventually, the company chose a former logistics facility in Mocksville, whose buildings could be converted for furniture production.
