Laminated timber imports up by 20%

Article by Gerd Ebner (translated by Eva Guzely) | 30.12.2024 - 10:22

As with lumber imports, the increase compared to the first eleven months of 2023 is a positive development. However, the total import volume of 610,000 m³ is far below Japan’s usual demand in that period (> 800,000 m³), as a look in the Datacube shows.

The Top 3 supplying countries, Finland (260,000 m³; +17%), Romania (90,000 m³; +24%) and Austria (69,000 m³; +21%), all saw their deliveries increase by an average of 20%.
