According to the German wood packaging, pallet and export packaging association (HPE), the price index of solid wood for pallets is at 363.2% in June (base: 01/2005 = 100%). Compared to May, the index value rose slightly by 0.2%. One year ago, the price index for this product was at 315.2%. The price index of solid wood for packaging, too, increased minimally by 0.1% month on month to 202.8%. Compared to June 2023 (207%), it decreased by 4.2 percentage points.
The price index of plywood for packaging is at 191.4% in June (+1.7% compared to May, -11% compared to June 2023). The biggest month-on-month increase, i.e. +4.6% to 96.9%, was reported for OSB for packaging. One year ago, an index value of 112.5% was recorded.
