In March, prices for solid structural timber ranged from €320 to €380/m³ in Germany and Austria (in bulk), according to the Holzkurier’s survey. The average price of all dimensions was €350/m³ and thus remained stable compared to February. In March 2022, it had been at €515/m³. Compared to the hype in mid-2021, the price has halved.
As for glue-laminated timber, the Holzkurier identified prices of €490 to €510/m³ in Germany. In Italy, glulam cost €510 to €550/m³, and the average price remained constant compared to February. In Germany, on the other hand, a decrease of €13/m³ was recorded. One year ago, glulam was sold for €635/m³ in Italy and €620/m³ in Germany.
