The price range of solid structural starts at under €300/m³, with maximum prices exceeding that mark. Glue-laminated timber currently sells at around €500/m³.

It has to be said, though, that manufacturers, timber trade and processing companies report low stock levels of both solid structural timber and glulam. Therefore, if prices actually stabilize, companies will stock up again. It is impossible to predict whether there will be another hype like in December 2021, but there is much more caution now than there was twelve months ago. In general, only a minority of manufacturers are likely to plan for 100% capacity utilization in 2023.

Contrary to CLT, no new glulam production sites will go into operation in 2023. Consequently, supply will decrease in terms of available quantities.
