Foreign demand grew by 89%, while a 191% increase was recorded on the domestic Italian market. One has to remember that these data are the result of the comparison with the first half year of 2020, the period in which the coronavirus pandemic had the biggest impact on global economies.
When comparing the first half year of 2021 with the period July to December 2020, the Italian manufacturers of woodworking machines saw orders grow by 42% (foreign demand +32%, domestic demand +49%). “These figures are encouraging,” comments Acimall President Luigi De Vito.
