Japan imported more laminated timber

From January to November, Japan imported a total of 888,000 m³ of glulam and CLT, i.e. 10% more than in the same period of 2019. The three main suppliers Finland (340,000 m³; +13%), Romania (182,000 m³; +24%) and Austria (110,000 m³; +5%) shipped bigger volumes to Japan. Imports from Russia (64,000 m³; -7%), Estonia (55,000 m³; -3%) and Poland (36,000 m³, -10%), on the other hand, saw decreases compared to 2019.
