“This decision was made mainly because of current travel restrictions which are an insurmountable obstacle for many foreign exhibitors and visitors,” informs the organizer.
The unique selling point of the International Wood Fair and Holz&Bau are their geographical focus on Central and Southern Europe. According to the organizer, many exhibitors use the fair as a marketing platform for the Balkans. “Many visitors from key markets, such as Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Hungary, are practically closed off from Austria, and it is also more or less impossible for many foreign exhibitors to come to Klagenfurt for the fair,” explains fair manager Bernhard Erler with regard to the main reason for cancelling the event.
Kärntner Messen is going to hold the next edition of the International Wood Fair/Holz&Bau and Treffpunkt Jagd from August 31 to September 3 2022 in Klagenfurt.
