With 649,000 m³, Austria’s main customer Italy bought the same volume as in the previous year. The increase in exports was mainly due to Germany (463,000 m³; +12%) and France (150,000 m³; +13%). Switzerland (149,000 m³; +7%) and Japan (134,000 m³; +10%) also bought considerably more Austrian glulam and CLT.
Last year, Belgium discovered Austrian glulam and CLT and imported 33,000 m³ and thus 62% more compared to 2018.
Double digit decreases were recorded in sales to Great Britain (27,000 m³; -23%) and Norway (26,500 m³; -37%).
