Good year for solid wood boards

The Association of the Austrian Wood Industry reports a great performance in the solid wood boards sector last year.

With a sales volume of €269.3 million for exports of solid wood boards in 2018, the increase amounted to 16.7% compared to last year. 84% of exported volumes were sold to EU countries which makes for a plus of 152.9% compared to 2017.

Imports increased, as well, totaling €176.2 million which is a plus of 8.5%. Deliveries from EU countries covered 91% (+9.9%) of total imports.
