Kronospan shows interest in take-over of plants in France

Sonae subsidiary Isoroy SAS checks sale of Auxerre and Le Creusot

The Kronospan Group has expressed intentions to take over two wood-based products operations in France. Isoroy SAS, Antony, passed on information yesterday about the offer for the plants in Auxerre (chipboard) and Le Creusot (thin MDF). Since the entire manual workforce should also be taken over by the new owner, negotiations were opened with the employee representatives. In the course of the deal, Isoroy staff in the central office will be reduced.

Isoroy is a subsidiary of debt-ridden Sonae Indústria wood-based products group of Portugal, Maia. The offered purchase price was not disclosed.
